Deep Cove Parent Advisory Council

The Deep Cove PAC or Parents' Advisory Council is very active at the school, providing support for students, parents and teachers. Through the fund raising carried out by parent volunteers we are able to provide additional resources in the classroom, support the swim team and with the help of school and district staff as well as outside agencies we have replaced the playgrounds at the school for the use of students and the community (to name but a few activities).

The PAC executive is comprised of volunteer parents whose children are enrolled at the school. Monthly meetings, held the third Wednesday of the month (see schedule) at the school, are open to all parents of Deep Cove's students. We encourage you to come out and support PAC activities and we invite you to our meetings featuring guest speakers on topical issues related to our children's education and well being. For more information on the PAC please see:

The Deep Cove PAC is a member of COPACS, the Confederation of Parent Advisory Councils of Saanich as well as BCCPAC, the BC Confederation of Parent Advisory Councils.

School Planning Council Elections...

Each year the Parent Advisory Committe is required to elect three parent representatives to our School Planning Council.

The School Planning Council...[SPC] is a body that works with the principal and teaching staff to review and support a planning process that identifies goals for the school. The SPC meets between 3 and 5 times per year. The meetings focus on the school plan and are approximately one hour in length. Please consider letting your name stand for this important working committee.
