Deep Cove Hot Lunch days are
organized by the PAC and parent volunteers as a fundraiser for the PAC.
Note too the opportunity to support the Sidney Lions Food Bank, (see below).

ON HOT LUNCH DAY PLEASE SUPPORT THE SIDNEY LIONS FOOD BANK:
Again this year on every Hot Lunch Day our Parent Advisory Council will collect food bank items
from students.
The Food Bank is well supported
during the holiday season, a time when our school routinely gives. However,
during the rest of the year, the community need is still great, but donations
are much less. Parents two years ago voted to organize a Food Bank drive
on each Hot Lunch Day. This campaign was very successful, and therefore
a worthwhile endeavor to continue to support.
How can families participate?
Your family can choose to participate by sending children to school on
Hot Lunch Day with an item to donate. There will be a box in each classroom
into which students can deposit their items. Families are not obligated
to contribute, but it would be a kindness to support this worthwhile community
