Deep Cove PAC Executive Roles and ResponsibilitiesPresident - calls meetings - assumes specific tasks or responsibilities assigned by the president understands the role of the president - fills the president's role when the president is unavailable - is a signing officer - chairs the nominations committee - coordinates list of parent volunteers at the start of each school year Secretary - makes sure all members are notified of meetings using a variety of methods - records minutes of all general meetings - keeps a copy of the constitution and bylaws, with any amendments noted and dated - knows the constitution and bylaws and meeting rules - circulates minutes to Executive and Administration - takes attendance - keeps records of minutes on file - keeps safe all correspondence to the council - is responsible for correspondence (usually shared with President) - ensures reports from committees are filed - may be a signing officer - photocopying PAC related material and distribution to membership Treasurer - is responsible for all funds - maintains bank account(s) keeps financial records - prepares written reports regularly for the PAC - presents an annual financial report - makes the books available for viewing by a member, upon request - makes the books available for annual audit or review - is a signing officer Associate Members responsibilities based on needs of the Executive and interests of Associate members (i.e. : fundraising; parent education; etc. ) COPACS Representative - attends all regular and special meetings of COPAC - reports to the PAC president and members - seeks input from the PAC and Parents for COPAC - forwards school-based issues to COPAC on request of the PAC Canadian Parents for French (CPF) Representative - attends all regular and special meetings of CPF - reports to the PAC president and members - seeks input from the PAC and Parents for CPF Past President (if applicable) - helps smooth transition between presidents - serves as advisor to the president - provides continuity of leadership - assumes tasks or responsibilities as requested by the President - may be a signing officer |
